Grippers and Gripper Chain

Neoprene has typically been used for standard ambient temperature applications, with EPDM being used for high temperature applications. At Houston Products, we manufacture all of our standard grippers from EPDM to provide an economical option that handles all applications! Our mini grippers are manufactured from industry standard neoprene.

All styles of our standard and mini grippers are available from stock. Lead times for assembled chains are 1 to 2 weeks. Please contact us to discuss custom applications.

We do not recommend mixing Houston Products grippers with grippers from another manufacturer on the same machine or conveyor.

Yes. The EPDM rubber grippers manufactured by Houston Products, Inc. are recognized as safe (GRAS), or permissible by the Regulations under the Food Additives Amendment to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (21 CFR).

The ingredients used in production are permissible by regulation under FDA Compliance section 21 CFR-175.300.

The ingredients used in production, and all secondary materials used in processing and packaging contain no animal products, animal byproducts, animal fats and/or other meat byproducts. Alcohol is not used in the production of these products.
